As a way of commemorating the Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration, we joined hands to challenge the taboos and misconceptions surrounding menstruation at Gbambaya Junior High School. After a five day campaign on the “Did You Know” on menstrual hygiene, we organized an enlightening event to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and empower students with knowledge and resources.
We distributed a total of 137 sanitary pads and educated students on proper menstrual care which will help in breaking barriers and promoting menstrual equity. Let’s continue to advocate for inclusive policies and support systems that ensure every individual can manage their menstruation safely and confidently. Together, we can break the silence, end the stigma, and create a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier to education and empowerment.
Thank you to all donors who made this program a success. Your invaluable support has gone a long way to put smiles on the faces of these young girls.
